The purpose of the Heritage Awards is to recognize those projects, organizations, agencies, and individuals that exemplify the highest standards within the preservation movement. Utah Heritage Foundation distributes and accepts nominations from December through January for projects completed in the previous year (2012 awards honor projects completed in 2011).   Click below for additional information about the event and program.

Heritage Awards recipients will be notified of their award in early March. All recipients are honored at UHF's Heritage Awards Luncheon on Friday, May 4, 2012, from 12 Noon to 1:30 PM, at the Salt Lake Masonic Temple as part of the Utah Preservation Conference in Salt Lake City.    The Masonic Temple is located at 650 East South Temple in Salt Lake City.  Owners of Heritage Award-winning projects and individuals received two complimentary tickets to the Luncheon.

One ticket is included with the All-in-One registration for the Utah Preservation Conference; all others may purchase tickets for $50 per person.  After May 3, including the day of the event, ticket prices increase to $60 per person.

Seating will be assigned this year.  Please let us know which honored project group or table you would like to sit with when registering for the event.

Heritage Awards attendees parked behind the Masonic Temple for free. There are two entrances to the parking lot south of the building:

  • From eastbound South Temple, turn in the driveway along the west side of the Temple.
  • From southbound 700 East, turn into the parking lot south of the Anniversary Inn.

We also encouraged attendees to use any one of the public transit options available for reaching the Masonic Temple. Particularly, UTA bus route 209 makes regular stops close to the Temple. Visit the UTA website for specific route information.
