Members Tour in Centerville on Saturday 3/26Posted by kirk in tours , events , Davis County , Centerville |
Join us on Saturday, March 26 to tour one of Centerville's many historic homes: the Franklin and Amelia Porter Walton house at 96 West Walton Lane (280 South) [turn west off Main Street at the Cutler's Cookie and Sandwich Shop]. The owners of the mansion will open the doors for two hours that morning from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. for Utah Heritage Foundation members to attend for free. Utah Heritage Foundation docents will explain the home's history and architecture.
We have also arranged with the Centerville Daughters of the Utah Pioneers to open their Cabin on 160 South 300 East [east of the Well Church] to view very interesting relics of Centerville's history. This cabin will be open to the public, also from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
More information is available on the UHF website.
If you aren't a member yet and you're reading this blog, it's 'bout time you joined UHF and we'd appreciate your support of this great cause. You'd feel good after doing it.
