Adult Supervision:
I understand: To ensure our school programs are productive and enjoyable for students, teachers, and docents, Utah Heritage Foundation requires close adult supervision of tours and slide presentations. During tours, one adult must accompany and be responsible for every 15 students. During slide presentations, teachers must remain with their students at all times. Utah Heritage Foundation will send a “tour etiquette” list with all tour confirmations. Please review these behavior guidelines with your students and adult chaperones before the tour. Utah Heritage Foundation reserves the right to withdraw or refuse services if a tour or classroom becomes untenable.
  *
Group Size:
I understand: Utah Heritage Foundation must strictly adhere to the maximum group sizes for tours to ensure quality programs and for security purposes. We can accommodate 40 students per tour at the Kearns (Utah Governor's) Mansion and 60 students per tour at the Salt Lake City and County Building . Groups of 35 students are optimal for our slide presentations.
  *
Student Preparation:
I understand:Student preparation is vital to a successful tour or presentation. Students need appropriate background information to enable them to relate a tour or slide presentation to the topics they are studying in the classroom. Utah Heritage Foundation expects teachers to prepare their students for the programs they schedule. Students touring the Kearns Mansion should complete lessons one and two in the Kearns Mansion Mystery History Teacher's Guide prior to their tour. Students touring the Salt City and County Building should complete lesson one in Symbol of the City: The Salt Lake City and County Building Teacher's Guide prior to their tour.
